Hey all.i was thinking about how it began today and how far we've comed, and i penned down what went thru my head.this poem of mine is entitled 'Remember'.Enjoy and may the words encourage you for the Promos!cheers!

Remember

Remember the days when it all began,
this colourful journey of ours,
when Bryan said' I know we three Zhonghua S**** have been making trouble..',
and when we failed to cheer.
Remember the times we when thru thick and thin,
and ferried classmates across rafia strings
Remember the times we cried and asked,
'why is 29 like that?'
Remember the times after orientation, that our true spirit began to show
--------------------------------------------
This is 0629,its where I belong.
And this is where I'll always be,
As one class for as long.
---------------------------------------------
Remember we grew much faster after that,
We joked and laughed and play,
Remember we laughed at Tay Gan Ther,
his '7 point aura' with his many As.
Remember the first Chemistry test,
and didn't do nearly as well.
Remember we prided in our Band President,
and showed that we can too.
Remember our Council Nominee,
who didn't get much votes,
yet got in.(Thankfully)
Remember Sports Day,
when Chyekeong ran--BAREFOOTED!
and slipped, and lost his race!
------------------------------------
This is 0629,its where I belong,
And this is where I'll always be,
As one class for as long.
-------------------------------------
I remember the midyears,
with its many Us,
I remember their comments vividly
As clear as they can be.
'A class of Misfits!' says Mr. Low,
'Jialat!' says Mr Heng.
Then Mrs Heng chided our lack of attitude,
and Pan Lao Shi for Ponning.
Yet there was something, that deep inside,
That they knew we COULD, and they knew we WOULD,
And we knew we could as well;
It was just a matter of time,
that our true Ability was to show.
Remember the praticals, that was full of laughter,
when CK broke his thermometer, and exclaimed with disbelief;
'Wah mine 17 degrees leh!'
And remember the birthdays,
Days of laughter,days of crap,
Bakkwa for Lionel, and cheesecake for Bryan,
Handphone vouchers, and cake on Kokwey's face.
Remember the time when we ponned kickboxing,
and felt that it was lame,
and the mass copying of Chem Tutorials,
On a Friday Common Break.
Yet there was something, deep inside, that we knew all the same,
the 29 spirit was to be seen, only time, shall bring it in.
---------------------------------------------------------
We may be of different frequencies, and our cliques may not be all the same,
but we will always be, 29 as can be.
-------------------------------------------
Now here we are, Promos at the door,
The end of a year is near, yet much is left unsaid.
We've made it pass rafia strings,
pass scoldings and bad attitudes,
and now we meet our final hurdle.
BUT I know this same SPIRIT,
that brought us through Rafia Strings,
WILL brings us pass the exams.
-----------------------------------------
This is 0629, its is where I belong
and this is where I KNOW I CAN
as one class, to the end.
------------------------------------------

3. 8 hours daily sleep - 130 days GONE. Days left 141.

4. 1 hour for daily playing- (good for health) means 15 days. Days left 126.

5. 2 hours daily for food & other delicacies (chewing properly & swallowing) - means 30days. Days left 96.

6. 1 hour for talking (man is a social animal) - means 15 days. Days left 81.

7. Exam days - per year at least 35 days. Days left 46.

8. Quarterly, half yearly and festival holidays) - 40 days. Days left 6.

9. For sickness - at least 3 days. Days left 3.

hahaz... thank you samuel for your most creative news report!

Here's a mostly real extract by a teacher that i sort of created.

(Back at the staff room where no students are allowed)
Teacher1: wah... this is terrible. I hate the promotional exams!
Teacher2: huh? why? You aren't the one that's going to retain what! Haiyo!
T1: That's the only good thing lah!
T2: wad do you mean?
T1: Haiyo... you new teacher wun know one lar...
T2: Fill me in then...
T1: Every year ar... during the end of year, must set the paper for the students. U think set paper very easy issit?
T2: Well i heard u guys copy the questions from TYS... how hard can that be?
T1: Hah! That's where you're wrong! You know the TYS how big? If we don't read the whole TYS, how to choose question? Furthermore, choose the question liao still must go and change the values of the question. Otherwise those smart alec students who spend their lifetime doing TYS will know the answers immediately! Sommore change the values liao then the answer wrong then die... kenna scold by students sommore.
T2: Wow... that's tough indeed.
T1: It's not over yet! After setting the paper, during the exam, we are supposed to invigilate! U know how boring it can be anot!
T2: But aren't we supposed to be checking if the students are cheating?
T1: Haiyo... u tink this is primary school ar. JC full of clever ppl one ok! Where got people so stupid want to cheat one! Use your brain lar... how u become teacher one...
T2: Oh... sorry.. well what's next then?
T1: AH! I know you will ask one. Of course is marking the test papers lar. This one ar, must first go and apply for blood donation one. Because when we mark, not enough red ink, we can use our blood. Also, when we marking, we will be vomitting blood most of the time! Because our students' answers are so very the idiotic. And hor, cannot write anything offensive on their test paper! Or else the students' parents come and hantam you ar!
T2: Oh thanks for the advice....
T1: I havent finish!
T2: Huh? you mean there's more?
T1: Ya lah! DUH~! After marking, the students get back their papers, some of them will start crying! because they are going to retain. Then some more persistent ones will find all sorts of ways to get promoted! I give u one scenario.

Hi Mr.T1! (abruptly takes out penknife) IF U DUN LET ME PROMOTE, I WILL KILL MYSELF IN FRONT OF YOU! AND THEN GIVE YOU THE PENKNIFE!

T2: Wah... that's terrible. So did she die?
T1: No lar. And she got promoted anyways!
T2: Why?
T1: Because we thought that she was clever enough to come up with such a trick to threaten me. So we let her promote lar.
*Beep*(phone rings)
T1: hallo?
Student: Err Mr.T1 are you free? I need consultation.
T1: okok u sit there wait for me. I come out in 1 second!
*hangs up*
T1: haix... this is the 10th time a student come to ask me for consultation liao. Liddat no need break liao lor... Sianz... ok cya later ar bye bye.
T2: Bye Bye
*end*

So u can see that teachers oso very cham one... lolx

Any other queries you might have, feel free to check
with me anytime.

Currently, we've only bi-weekly Sat sessions, unless
our manpower grows to a considerable size. Normal
session is 2.30-5.30pm.

We would issue you a special certifcate of
participation for each CIP student for your CIP
requirements.

Thanks for your choosing Achievers!

Any suggestions for future cip activities? Post in Cbox =)

Hi Cun Kang,

Glad to hear that you would like to contribute your
time and effort with us again. 10 per group sounds
good to me. Would you think you could come up with
some performance item? E.g. Drama, singing, dance,
magic show, fashion parade, anything! Just let me know
what you can come up with. I can allocate 10-20 min of
time for your item. If need more than 10 people for
such performances, just let me know the total people
involved, as long as not too overwhelming, it's fine.

Alternatively, you might wish to come up with a
"tea-dance" session of 20-30 mins, consisting of
finger foods (cheap cheap items, such as hotdogs, fish
balls, sandwiches, potatoe chips, potatoes, tapioca,
dry fruits (not the watermelon type), anything that
won't drip and dirty the place easily. Your reps can
be in charge of running the whole tea-breaks. And hot
music! Else any other creative ideas! Just let me know.
Regards,
Stephen
know.
